The European Design Registration process has now been finalised for this new house design registration no. 007729207.
We have been asked to provide evidence of the Roman occupation in this area of North Suffolk. It has been a fascinating experience to discover the intensity of the Roman activity. There is evidence of Roman villas at Scole on the Suffolk border, at Stonham, Braiseworth and Thornham. We have also studied details of the Roman hoard discovered at Hoxne, near to our site. This hoard is now housed in the British Museum and comprises some of the most important artefacts found across the whole of Europe, relevant to the first four centuries AD. A large quantity of Roman coinage was found and the markings which identify where they were minted, indicate that the coins originated across all points of the empire as far east as Antioch.
This looks amazing!
