The original Arts and Crafts style house was partly rebuilt and refurbished, with new floors and internal walls and retiled roof using a mix of original and reclaimed tiles. The brief for the new extension was to construct an invisible building, which was achieved using frameless glass balustrades and a glass room constructed from double glazed wall sections with bonded and frameless corners, which is a part of a pioneering process. architectural design house plans
